Tip #7: Introduce Oral Health Habits Early!

As parents and caregivers, the best thing we can do is train our children to be respectful in all areas of life. Not just respecting themselves but others, including the environment and all creatures we share our planet with!

Tip #6: Replace Your Brush Regularly!

It's super important to introduce this early into your child's daily routine. Make it fun too (play a song or set a timer, etc).

2 minutes can seem like a long time so break it up into 4 30 second sections, focusing on a quadrant of the mouth during that time.

Don't forget to brush along the gum line on both the fronts and backs of your teeth. Using an electric toothbrush... more

Did you know that by not flossing each time you brush that you miss cleaning a third of your tooth surface?!!

When you floss every night before brushing , you remove the small particles of food and other deposits that are missed by your toothbrush which can eventually develop into decay.

A healthy routine recommendation is to take two minutes a day to floss. Keep in mind that flossing at first may be uncomfortable, especially if you don't floss regularly or at all. This is natural, however as you floss more... more
