Did you know that by not flossing each time you brush that you miss cleaning a third of your tooth surface?!!
When you floss every night before brushing , you remove the small particles of food and other deposits that are missed by your toothbrush which can eventually develop into decay.
A healthy routine recommendation is to take two minutes a day to floss. Keep in mind that flossing at first may be uncomfortable, especially if you don't floss regularly or at all. This is natural, however as you floss more regularly, the sensitivity will disappear and you will notice your gums start to look and feel healthier!
As far as technique is concerned, make sure you slide the floss up and down along the whole tooth and don't forget to floss those tight spaces that your toothbrush can't reach.
