A Fresh Start in 2020

In May 2020, during unprecedented times, Melinda Admiraal of the Passionate Hospitality Group took the reins as the new Owner & Operator. Committed to community vibrancy, Melinda ensures that Wild Earth Bakery remains a cherished fixture in St. Albert, embodying the spirit of a true gathering place.

1932: The Humble Beginnings

The bakery's journey began in 1932, a small affair next to the Red & White grocery store. Tubby Bateman's vision took root, creating a hub for the Strathcona and Mill Creek neighborhoods.

1948: Expansion and Vision

In 1948, Tubby purchased the grocery store, recognizing the neighborhood's need for a bustling hub. Renovations and transformations ensued, creating a space for the community to gather and thrive.

2005: All in the Family

In 2005, Dee Bateman, continuing the family legacy, transformed the space into Wild Earth Bakery. Remaining connected to its roots, the bakery became a beacon for quality baked goods in Strathcona.

2014: Changes and New Horizons

As the neighborhood evolved, so did Wild Earth Bakery. Relocating to the Enjoy Centre in St. Albert in 2014, the bakery found a new home, aligning with the center's values and history.

2020: A Rebirth Amid Uncertainty

In the face of a global pandemic, Wild Earth Bakery underwent a rebirth under new ownership. With a commitment to safety and community, we reopened our doors in May 2020, ready to serve you and our community once again.
