Our story isn't just about soap; it's a love story. About five years ago, Mike and I found each other, and it turned out to be the perfect blend of love and soap-making passion. As a Celiac, health is paramount for me, making me hyper-aware of label ingredients. Recognizing that our skin absorbs about 60% of what we apply, I delved into soap making, weaving it into my lifestyle.
Both born in 1970 in the Vancouver area, our paths unknowingly crisscrossed countless times. It took 47 years and 1200 kilometers to finally bring us together in the Greater Edmonton area. Our previous lives had evolved, and fate united us, allowing us to grow together.
I'm the captain of this soapy ship, handling everything from soap making to dishwashing, and every moment is a joy. Starting this company has been a dream, made possible by Mike's constant love, support, incredible curing rack building skills, and help with the mountain of dishes that soap making inevitably creates.
After many brainstorming sessions for company names, the answer was right in front of us. We proudly present "Mike + Jenn's Craft Soap" because Mike always puts me first. This is my way of reciprocating, ensuring he knows the indispensable role he plays in this soap-making venture.
