While She Was Dreaming
Founded in October 2013 by creator and designer Alanna Gorne, While She Was Dreaming began as a passion project during her maternity leave with her first daughter. Now based in St. Albert, AB, Canada, Alanna is a wife, mother of two daughters, and a creator with a deep love for craftsmanship and creativity.
What started as a hobby has blossomed into a thriving business—a true labour of love. Over the years, Alanna has evolved from assembling simple designs to crafting and cutting the majority of her items herself. With a growing passion for fabric and wood, these materials now play a central role in her one-of-a-kind creations.
Each new collection features wooden pieces that Alanna designs using Corel Draw, and then laser cuts in her studio.
