This week, Thursday at 5:30 pm we had our door shot out point blank by an 18 year old with a BB Gun. I am devastated and it was terrifying as it was for my customer. Police were called. Insurance was called. I have worked so hard to create this business I love. I work very long hours with no staff and I put up with a lot. Theft. A horrible landlord. People recording me 2 days before the restrictions were lifted just waiting for me to make a mistake. Small businesses have been through hell these last 16 months and we the owners fought so hard to keep our businesses alive with next to no help from our government. The young man has been apprehended thanks to neighbours, witnesses and coworkers of the strip mall. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am getting tired of being nice. So now I ponder if I press charges on a young man that is an adult and needs to learn a lesson. My heart hurts as it's not in my nature to lash out. But I will fight to continue to do what I love. To keep my shop alive and I won't give up. Sooooo, I will remain open until the door is repaired so you will see plywood instead of glass. But I am there and I will be present for those who come with my head held high.
